Showcasing Good Conformation

Some say that this is the beauty pageant for dogs. Terriers are judged on conformation as defined by the JRTCC Breed Standard. This Standard is almost identical in Canada, USA, Great Britain, South Africa and many other countries.

JRTCC Sanctioned Trials always host the mandatory Regular Conformation Division classes. Since the purpose is to identify superior conformation terriers for breeding use, spayed or neutered terriers may not enter in regular classes.

Optional Conformation classes, offered at the discretion of the organizers, welcome other entrants -- novice terriers, spayed and neutered terriers, children and junior handlers, terrier families and even terriers competing in costume or doing tricks. Check the trial program for fun classes that you and your terrier can participate in.
