ALL-BREED Fun Day a Big Success!
On August 5, 2006, Jack Russell Terrier Rescue, Ontario (JRTRO) hosted an All Breed Fun day at 256 Centennial Park Rd., in Toronto.
The fun day went extremely well, blessed by good weather, a great location and awesome work by all the volunteers. Thanks to all who volunteered, and especially to Jana for donating food, Marie for cooking up a storm at the BB'Que and Mark and Kerri for bringing the equipment and getting everything set up in a timely manner. Jocelyn planned the event essentially in only two weeks, but despite that and other dog events on the same weekend and many people being away for the Civic Holiday, the turnout was encouraging.

In fact, net proceeds raised to support the Jack Russell Rescue was over $700. People loved the park, and enjoyed the shady nooks as well as the open spaces. Having the use of the chalet and patio and all the picnic tables was definitely a bonus. Newcomers, both people and puppies, enjoyed the opportunities for questions and new experiences and the easy atmosphere where all you had to to was jump right in.
