Rescuing a Russell

If you have already decided that the Jack Russell is the right dog for you, rescuing a Jack Russell in need can be a rewarding experience. They come with "life experience" and while these rescues occasionally get puppies more often then not you will have the opportunity to adopt a dog that has been through it's, sometimes trying they are Jacks after all!), puppyhood and ready to move into your life. If this doesn't convince you to rescue many of the dogs they foster come to you already house trained, something that can be very trying to teach to a Jack Russell puppy!

Our mission at Jack Russell Terrier Rescue Ontario (JRTRO) is a non-profit referral organization dedicated to fostering, finding and placing Jack Russell Terriers in new homes. These are Jack Russell Terriers that have either been abandoned, mistreated, abused or owner relinquished.

Alberta Russell Rescue services both Alberta and Saskatchewan and gives deserving dogs in need a second chance at life.
